For Those in Search of Big Island Luxury Real Estate
Real estate is booming on the Big Island of Hawaii, and luxury homes have been in the news as well in recent months. While George Zimmer (former CEO of Men’s Wearhouse) listed his luxury Nani Paniau estate with us and purchased singer Neil Young’s Wai’alea Bay estate, Terry Bradshaw reportedly purchased a North Kohala estate this past spring and now has his Kamuela luxury estate on the market.
Many celebrities enjoy escaping to the Big Island for privacy, relaxation, and to get out of the public’s eye – not to mention the media. Many luxury properties offer everything a person or family could want; in addition to the seclusion many of these properties offer, many have pools, game rooms, exquisite views of (and access to) the ocean, and much more. Of course prestigious, spectacular homes aren’t just for celebrities – they’re for anyone who desires a relaxed, enhanced lifestyle.
A recent news article at the Hawaii Tribune-Herald revealed that when it comes to real estate, the Big Island is THE place to be. Data collected by Hawaii Information Services showed that through the end of November, sales had increased more than 7 percent for the entire island over home sales in 2014.
Outside of the luxury real estate market, Puna had the most sales this year with nearly 600 home sales; following Puna was North Kona, with more than 400 homes sold. Our agents currently have 10 properties on the market in Kailua Kona, priced from the low $400,000’s to just under $20 million. Luxury property for every design preference and budget!
For many of wealth, Hawaii is the ideal place to call home because of its beauty, moderate to warm temperatures year-round, culture, access to and fantastic views of the ocean, social activities, and more. If you’re in the market for Big Island luxury real estate to call your own, count on Mauna Kea Realty to make the process of finding your ideal home as seamless and exciting as possible.
